Pre-emptive week in awesome
Tuesday 12 Aug 2008
Early edition because I’m buggering off to Assateague Island tomorrow for a long weekend horse-rustling and piratically eating ship debris! It will be my virgin ride on the Chi-Town Bus (disturbing entendre intended) 5 hours to DC, then a micro roadtrip to go play on the beach for 4 days, sleep under stars, clear my city head and write the short stories that have been piling up in my hypothalamus.
Anyhow:
- The Highbury Vaults was our official 2nd front room in 4th year of Uni, spitting distance from our back door. So vicariously, and middle-class establishmentally, we are now endorsed by Banksy. [BBC News] – thanks Phil for pointing out that story.
- The world will get sucked into a mini black hole THE DAY AFTER MY BIRTHDAY ITS A SIGN soon, as this shit ironic geek rap video at CERN, attests.
- Re-found SeeqPod in my bookmarks just now – I could really have used it the the day too. A viable alternative to YouTube for when you want to listen to a certain track instantly, like right now dammit! And then you can list them and create playlists and stuff. But by that time I was distracted by something else shiny.
Yes.
Vintage edition.

Just found a really cool site courtesy of Download Squad to which you can feed any online image and run an aging algorithm upon it. I put my page banner through the process to test it out – and the result is pretty vintage!
Gotta be a lot easier than somehow stashing this blog under lock and key in an old tea chest for 127 years…
